About
- Hanbat Arboretum in the city center is the largest artificial arboretum in Korea, connecting the green axis of the Government Complex Daejeon and Science Park.
- It aims to preserve the genes of various plant species, provide a place for youth to experience nature learning, and offer citizens a space to enjoy greenery and rest in the city.
- The total area of 394,000 square meters is being developed in three phases by year.
- The first and second phases, covering 224,000 square meters, were completed on November 15, 2004, and opened on April 28, 2005, and are used by many citizens.
- The third phase (north of Pyongsong Training Center), covering 170,000 square meters, is composed of 19 themed gardens including Magnolia Garden, Medicinal Plant Garden, Rock Garden, and Fruit Tree Garden.
